Based in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, Becky Ryan is an alternative wedding photographer who specializes in capturing the genuine, heartfelt moments of your special day. Her goal is to deliver a collection of photos that bring you right back to the feelings and magic of your wedding day.
Becky Ryan Photography offers flexible packages to suit a variety of weddings—from intimate elopements to full-day celebrations. All packages include a password-protected online gallery, making it easy to share your photos with family and friends. You’ll receive beautifully edited digital images on a USB, and there are also wedding albums available to keep your memories alive for years to come. For something truly unique, Becky offers live wedding illustration, creating charming sketch portraits of your guests during the celebration.
Probably my Liverpudlian couple that got hitched in Vegas! The Neon Museum was an amazing outdoor venue for their ceremony!
Natural, Honest, Heartfelt, Creative, Fun
The relationship with my couples. They're absolutely awesome and I really enjoy getting to know them and hearing all about them in the run up to their wedding, they're valued people to me not just clients.
"Not only did we find a wedding photographer, but a friend too"
One of my brides, Rachel, had a completely custom wedding dress that was made from the lace of her Mum's own one and was then reversible for the evening and was made with material from her recently departed Father's waistcoat. It was such a beautiful way for Rachel to have her Dad with her on the day.
There absolutely isn't one! As much as I love Pinterest, I think it can also be really harming to those planning their wedding photography! Especially if you are wanting natural, story-telling photography. Don't get carried away with 'must have' posed shots, it's not about that on the day. It's about you guys and your loved ones having an amazing time and it being captured in just the way that when you look back on your images in years to come you will be taken straight back there. You just don't get that with set up shots.
Embrace it!
I’d always loved to take photos ever since I got my first polaroid camera in the 90s to the bunch of digital 'point and shoot's I had between then and now, but having had my heart set on another career path as an artist/illustrator, but also not *really* knowing where I fit, I didn’t really think about the possibility of being a professional photographer. But now I’m here, it’s awesome! I know now that I was meant for this profession and it was meant for me. I asked another photographer if I could accompany them to a wedding in 2012 to take some photos myself and I really enjoyed it. I put the few photos I'd taken myself on my Facebook and on Flickr and I was pleasantly surprised to soon after have an enquiry from a Facebook friend as to whether I'd shoot her wedding the following year and also a stranger on Flickr who was a lovely bride to be looking for a photographer on a budget which I was more than happy to cater for as I was looking to add to my portfolio.
