What is your most memorable wedding?
Will shortly be my own! Other than that, a large and very fun one at Bosworth Hall earlier this year. Beautifully laid out, great venue and fab people that day that were all up for some fun.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Friendly, fun, natural, discreet and professional
What about your business are you most proud of?
The overall friendly service from point of contact to delivered galleries and albums
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember it is your day - do it your way! Work with planners etc but always remember it's about what you want on your day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A wedding cake made of four tiers of different cheeses, with a Mr and Mrs Mouse on top made by the bride's stepfather.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Starts with a get to know each other call and find out what you want, confirm that I can provide it and that we all get on well. Ideally visit the venue with you and also do an 'Engagement' shoot so we all get used to each other before the big day. It's a great opportunity to get to know each other, get some shots you can use on your invites or be included in the final album (or both), for you to get used to the way I work etc... On the day, for the most part I'll be discreetly capturing your day, we'll agree what formal /group shots you want, normally after the ceremony (but remember, it's your day), then get some shots with just the two of you, then we're back to discreetly capturing the rest of your day.....I'm only more noticeable once the dancing starts.... I'll be joining in whilst capturing it ;-)
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
You'll never be younger than you are today....and you'll be making effort than an average day...let's capture the two of you sharing some intimate moments after the ceremony looking amazing....it gives you a quick breath before you go back in too!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
More a collection of photos....the groom was football mad and was playing football the morning of the wedding with his regular team....who also were all part of the wedding. I switched from bridal prep to sports photography and back to wedding photography, made a unique start to their album.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
For the most part we can capture all the wedding party indoors and also get some great natural light shots by windows etc... we'll have to go do that backlit rain shot under an umbrella if you're up for it though.
Describe how you got into photography.
I started young but more seriously in the early 2000's as a SCUBA instructor doing underwater photography and videography in the Red Sea.
