Real, unscripted, joyful wedding photography for couples who don't want to spend all day posing.
Hi, I’m Sadie! I’m a Yorkshire-based documentary wedding photographer for the "romance junkies," the sunset-chasers, and the couples who want to actually enjoy their party. My style is part-ninja, part-storyteller: I blend into the background to capture the honest glances and the "dance floor chaos" so you can stay present with your favourite people. No stiff smiles, no awkward staging, just your day, exactly how it felt.
Capturing the heart of your story without the awkward "cheese."
With over 15 years of experience and 300+ weddings under my belt, I know that the best photos happen when you forget the camera is there. I specialise in natural, documentary-style photography that bottles the magic of your wedding day.
My goal is to be a calm, friendly presence who goes above and beyond (past the first dance!) to ensure you have a timeless gallery that feels like you. Based in Yorkshire and serving Northern England, I’m ready to document your love story with real colours, genuine emotion, and zero stress.
Formerly known as Baildon Wedding Photography, I am now operating as Sadie Ferriday Weddings to celebrate 15+ years of capturing love stories under my own name.
A Persian wedding where I was flown in to the venue with the bride and groom in a helicopter!
Relaxed, authentic, honest, clean, natural.
Being able to capture amazing moments that provoke beautiful reactions.
Plan enough time into your day to be able to escape your guests and enjoy each other.

I think it's really important to meet a couple and discuss what they want and what is important to them. Each wedding is so unique as are the people involved.
Sunset pictures, the light is amazing and they have usually had food, a drink and feel really relaxed.

A sense of humour and a pair of wellies. You can get some beautiful pictures and it is a real moment of your day.
I had dipped into photography whilst at school and college and worked at a photography agency as my first job after leaving education. The biggest step was whilst working as a freelance designer with a need for relevant imagery and a lack of budget, so I got stuck in. Did some training, read lots of books, photographed events, photographed families and children, eventually photographing my first wedding in 2011. I have since trained with several of the worlds leading wedding photographers and continue to further my skills and invest in equipment.
