Wedding Photography a little less ordinary
the way my style seems to have captured many couples imaginations and how the business is growing from strength to strength.
research - pinterest, magazines, websites, facebook wedding groups - then budget accordingly.
oh lots, from handpainted shoes, to flowers in test tubes, to elephants on cakes, tractors being involved in photographs to tunnocks teacakes as favours. Every wedding is different and so personal to the couple that there is always a lovely personal touch at everyone I have been to so far
Hot chocolate and a chat about your requirements (or a skype/facetime if you aren't local) and then a formal booking with a potential second meet up before the day to finalise arangements, timings and requirements - however we can always do this via email... I am particularly easy going, so whatever suits my couples, suits me!
Confetti throwing shot - it's a must do and makes even the grumpiest of relatives smile for the photograph!
Where the bride and groom were lifted up on top of a hay bail by a tractor about 20 ft in the air - that will take some beating! (see my gallery)
Umbrellas, lots of... & waterproof mascara (always a good idea for a wedding anyway!)!
My parents are adventure photographers, photographing mountaineering, rock climbing, canoeing and various expeidition exploits. When I was old enough to accompany them I also got into photographing the sites and the emotions of our trips. From there I have venturered as far afield as Africa with my film DSLR photographing wildlife, people and indeed architecture for a variety of projects and charities. I then did an MSc in Photojournalism, somehow ended up in an artistically stiffled job, and have now decided that I really should make more of my artistic tendencies and started up my own business in 2015 photographing weddings, portraits and products.
