Anna Durrant Photography Full Description
Packages start with the Tandem package - 2 hours of photography for a single venue, up to the Rolls Royce package with all day photography and a free engagement shoot. All images supplied on a DVD or USB, after digital enhancing. Albums and photo books also supplied together with parent albums. We take great pride in being unobtrusive on your wedding day; the day should be about you and your family and guests celebrating your union, NOT about spending all day posing for photographs. We hear so many awful stories about wedding photographers! Most of the pictures we take are documentary, telling the story of the day, but I also insist on having a little time with the bride and groom for more posed photography, using light and posing to craft images to treasure forever. The right balance of photography is important. Before you choose your wedding photographer look closely at the images he/she is showing you. Forget the price tag and the impressive graphics and music in the presentation. Do the pictures touch you? If not, continue looking - the images are the most important element. A comment from a satisfied customer "Thank you so much, the pictures are amazing! Wow, I can’t believe how beautiful they all are, I’m almost in tears looking at them. Thank you!" Book an appointment with us to see for yourself!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

An elderly couple I photographed in February at a registry office wedding; they had no guests and so I had to bring a friend along and we were both witnesses. The groom brought their "wedding breakfast" along with him - some smoked salmon sandwiches, Jamaica ginger cake and a bar of chocolate. He bought 4 cut glass crystal glasses from Oxfam so we could join them eating and drinking champagne, standing by the car outside in February! We then went for a walk around the canal in Devizes so I could get some photographs of the 2 of them. It was so romantic and we had so much fun!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, accommodating, unobtrusive, caring and keen.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being able to provide photography services for all ages in our local area.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Get a good photographer!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A vet bride had her dog by her side during the vows in church.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We meet, if possible (if not, then Skype calls are good), to talk about the photography and the wedding planning, and what is expected from both sides. After confirmation of the booking I probably won't contact you until a couple of months before the wedding day, when we can book a date for a pre-wedding session. This is a really fun session where we have time to play around with the photography and talk more about the plans for the wedding day. I ask for a list of the group photographs wanted and a nominated person to help with the organising. Full payment is required a month before the wedding. After the wedding, if you are having a wedding album, then I am able to process the pictures and start designing a draft album to send you on your return from honeymoon.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A photography with the two of you showing the love between you. Interaction is so important.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I wasn't asked, but I took a picture of the bride on a zip wire!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas! I have 4 of my own that I bring along. I love to go outside whatever the weather and look for places where the light is beautiful to take pictures. The rain never looks as bad in pictures as it feels on the day.

Describe how you got into photography.

Since the age of 10 I wanted a camera. My father had a dark room and a good camera in the days of film and used to take great pictures of our family.
