Andy Schrader Photography Full Description
My approach to wedding photography is that I remember it's YOUR big day. So I won't come and take over your day. I will of course capture all those special and precious moments, but it will be done unobtrusively. I might see something that I know would make a stunning photograph. But I will make sure that if I need to set anything up to get the shot, that it will be in place before I come and borrow the happy couple for a minute. My aim is to have you away from the party for as little a time as possible. I want you to enjoy your day and the experience. All my clients receive a pre wedding consultation, ideally at the venue of their wedding. I believe meeting at the venue allows us to get a feel for each other and the place, we can also discuss any features the happy couple to be would like especially featured in their images. I'll also be available to them anytime they have a question or query once they book my services. An online gallery is part of every package that I offer. I offer albums and USB for the presentation of the finished photographs from the wedding. The albums are actual albums and not photo books. If you are looking for an album I have a variety I can offer and would be happy to show different styles. If you would prefer a photo book, please let me know and I will arrange that for you. The USBs are bespoke and of the highest quality and come in a gorgeous presentation box. You can also get a combination of album & USB, USB & prints or indeed prints on their own. I also offer framed images and canvases.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative, elegant, relaxed, candid, fun

What about your business are you most proud of?

My client orientated approach. I want my clients to be delighted with the service they receive.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember that it's your day, don't feel that you have to copy/outdo what your friends & relations did for their day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Messages in bottles that the wedding party released into the Clyde.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

it usually starts with a telephone call, then if we decide to take it further we will meet. This usually takes place at the venue they have chosen for their wedding. We talk about their plans and vision for their big day. This is the time where the couple decides if they'd like to hire me. If they do, we sign the contract and the deposit is paid within 48hrs of this meeting. Once the deposit is received I keep their day free and won't take another booking for that day. I am available to the couple for any questions from when the contract is signed to after handing over their photographs.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Waterproofs & umbrellas. We live in Scotland, where we get more than our fair share of rain. So I'm sure that your venue will have somewhere that you can use if it does get a bit wet out. You can get some great photographs in the rain, if you have an open mind and don't mind being a little bit wet.

Describe how you got into photography.

I grew up with it. My dad worked for a German TV nation and I have been surrounded by cameras from when I was little. I went away from photography once I grew up, serving in the British Army before studying a variety of art based courses before coming full circle back to photography.
