What is your most memorable wedding?
Holly & Martin's. It was great to be able to document a wedding story over a whole weekend at a beautiful venue!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Candid, Unobtrusive, Natural, Unstaged, Contemporary
What about your business are you most proud of?
The quality of the images and the feedback that i receive from happy couples
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan early & trust the professionals that you have hired, to do their job. Most importantly of all, however, is it is your day; no-one else's. Do what YOU want!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I'm a sucker for dogs at weddings!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I give the couple as much consultation and discussion as the want. I make my style clear so that there is a good match between what I do and what the couple want. I pride myself on clear, quick & friendly communication
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't! As a documentary photographer I photograph what I see happen; I don't make things happen. If a wedding is reduced to a list of "must have" shots, it ceases to be your unique day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
See opposite. I think that the most original wedding photo I've taken was during the bridal prep who decided to have her makeup done on the street. A passer by walked vey close to me as I was photographing, and shot me the dirtiest of looks (see photos). I think it's hilarious!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Don't worry about it! The day is about you, your friends and family, not the weather. Rain makes for great fun photographs!
Describe how you got into photography.
I have taken photographs for well over 30 years. Initially to record the near record breaking barbel (fish!) that I was catching from the river Great Ouse, at the time. As well as wedding photography, I have a thriving landscape photography business.
