Amarsi & Co Photography offers relaxed, documentary-led wedding photography for couples who want their day photographed naturally, without it feeling staged or over-directed.
The approach is simple: let the day happen properly, keep interruptions to a minimum, and focus on the real moments that make it yours. That means the big parts, the quiet in-between bits, the reactions you might miss, and the people who matter most.
Coverage is tailored around each wedding, from shorter ceremonies and intimate celebrations through to full-day photography from morning preparations to the evening. Every collection includes professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered through a private online gallery, with full printing rights and easy sharing for friends and family.
Couples can also add engagement sessions, wedding albums, additional coverage, a second photographer and 35mm film photography for a more nostalgic, imperfect finish alongside the digital photographs.
Amarsi & Co is based in Derbyshire and photographs weddings across the UK. The style is natural, modern and film-inspired, with a strong focus on honest moments, good light and photographs that feel like the day rather than a performance of it.
You will also have a photographer who is easy to get on with, calm when plans change and experienced in helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera. The aim is for the photography to feel like part of the day, not something that takes over it.
Relaxed, calm and unobtrusive. I’ll step in when you need direction, but most of the day I’m quietly watching for the moments you might otherwise miss. The aim is for you to enjoy the wedding, not feel like you’re on a photoshoot.
Not at all. Most couples say the same thing. I keep things natural, give simple direction when it helps, and never force anything that doesn’t feel like you. You don’t need to know how to pose.
Yes. The overall approach is documentary-led, but I’ll still make sure the important family and group photographs are covered. We’ll agree a sensible list beforehand so it stays organised and doesn’t take over the day.
We work with it. Rain rarely ruins photographs, and it can often create brilliant light and atmosphere. I’ll always have a backup plan, use the venue where needed and keep an eye out for any dry breaks.
Yes. I’m based in Derbyshire and regularly work across the Midlands and further afield. Travel is included within the area stated in your collection, and any additional costs will always be clear before you book.
Yes. A roll of 35mm film can be added alongside your digital coverage. It gives you a small set of photographs with a more textured, nostalgic feel, delivered digitally with the rest of your gallery.
You’ll receive a preview shortly after the wedding, followed by your full edited gallery within the timeframe agreed in your contract. I’d rather deliver a properly finished gallery than rush it out for the sake of speed.
Of course. A relaxed consultation gives us a chance to talk through your plans, answer any questions and make sure we’re a good fit. There’s no hard sell and no pressure to decide on the call.
I’m not there to turn your wedding into a production. I focus on people, atmosphere and the small moments happening around you, while still making sure the important photographs are handled properly. The result should feel like your wedding, not somebody else’s template.
Yes. I photograph weddings using two professional camera bodies, backup equipment and a careful file backup process. I also carry public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
