Ailsa Petchey

My name is Ailsa Petchey and I’ve been a professional photographer for the past 15 years and absolutely love my work. I specialise in bumps, newborns, weddings and family portraiture and offer a variety of contemporary images that will last you a lifetime. Back in 1996 I was the concept founder of Virgin Bride and worked with Richard Branson to successfully launch the largest bridal emporium in London. I was Marketing Director at Virgin Bride for over 5 years. I was the head of buying as well as managing our amazing 65 staff team! I have continued my love for weddings with over 19 years expertise within the bridal industry where my passion for photography was sparked. Having written two successful books 21st Century Bride and The Complete Wedding Guide with Sarah Mason, I have gone on to establish myself as a strong wedding and portrait photographer. I used to style the advertising shoots for Virgin Bride and thought that I’d love to be on the other side of the lens! After my initial training I set up White On Blue Ltd which offers a range of contemporary portraiture, wedding, corporate and event photography. I love working with people and getting the most out of a photo shoot. Many families and couples start a photo session a little nervous and feeling out of their comfort zone, but by the end of the session they are relaxed happy and uninhibited by the camera. I aim to ensure everyone goes away feeling great about themselves Having a marketing background has really helped with the corporate side of my business as I am able to understand what the client is trying to achieve and capture the shots that make their product or premises stand out from the crowd.
