I like to try and meet my couples at least once before their wedding there we will discuss all the ins and outs of their day. Then upon the day I like to try and arrive early from there I try to make my couples at ease following their itinery and trying my best to blend into the madness that can be weddings sometimes. Generally that's how the rest of the day unfolds. The only thing I usually ask for is at least up to an hour to do some natural portraits somewhere nearby or on site that's got a natural beauty to it. I don't tend to do big posed photos I prefer to photograph the couple acting naturally together as newly weds. Then when it comes to the end of the coverage I usually give the couple a heads up and head off. From there I'm always available up until photo delivery which can take up to 6 weeks but usually sooner. Then the gallery will go live and they will receive their photos through the post or we will have a reveal session depending on the couples preference.
A portrait of any loved one during your wedding day who is getting older as you never know how long they will be there. I have taken a few portraits of people who have since passed and they are usually of most importance to couples after the day. Other than that a good portrait of the couple interacting naturally which they can have as a wall print would be a good winner.
That's not really the way I work as I'm usually asked to not make a fuss of the couple but I definitely get creative on a wedding day always looking for reflections and wonderful weird angles during the day. Footprints in the sand is usually a good one.

Basically my grandmother passed and left me enough money to buy my first DSLR once I had one in my hands I fell in love. That and having my first child and wanting to document the process of parenting.
