Every single wedding is memorable for one reason or another - it's hard to choose a favourite! They're all awesome. Good weather, bad weather, live bands & Dj's, extravagant or intimate - each wedding is special.
Relaxed, Creative, Reportage , Cheeky, Fun.
It's all me. I put everything I've got into Lightbox Studios and 'Wedding Photography by ABC', so if people like what they see, it's a huge compliment and makes the hard work worth it!
Relax. It will all be fine. Just don't leave it too late to book the things you really want, or they might be gone. Then you'll be booking your 2nd choice, not your favourite!
One bride a couple of years ago had lost her father quite close to the wedding. It was obviously a very emotional day, made even more poignant by her young son walking her down the aisle instead of his grandad. A lovely moment.
I like to meet at least once of twice before the big day, including a venue visit if possible. A pre-wedding shoot is always advisable too, just for the couple to get used to being in front of the camera together.
The groom's face as the bride begins to walk up the aisle. It's always an absolute classic moment as they either light up with a huge smile, or dissolve into tears.
I always try to capture the emotion without it being staged. I love creating photos that really show how much in love you are with each other, without having to pose or 'act'.
I'm not sure, but possibly being asked to photograph the bride in her underwear as a treat for her husband. It isn't something that happens at every wedding!
Umbrellas. It's the UK, it rains. Just go with the flow and be prepared to get a tiny bit soggy! Don't let it spoil the day.
I've always loved photography, but really got into it again when I was at sixth-form college, spending more than a few hours in the Art Department darkroom with a good friend who later became my wife!
