Wayne Bridle Full Description
I think I’m the luckiest!.... I have played and sung at weddings, pubs, festivals, proms, parties and more for 30 years and that’s my ‘job’! My set includes songs from The Beatles,Coldplay, Bowie, David Gray, Kinks, George Ezra, Elton John,U2 and many more! For me it’s essential to meet the happy couple well before the wedding to completely understand their wishes. I’ll also visit the venue beforehand to assess the logistics and meet the event organiser to ensure all questions are answered before the big day. My business ethos is to surprise and delight and my success has been mainly through recommendations..

What is your most memorable wedding?

Lympne Castle was fantastic; beautiful venue,I played a song for the bride to walk into in front of a roaring fire with snow falling outside, then playing at their reception was a complete joy..

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Engaging,charismatic, expressive, adaptable, affable.

What about your business are you most proud of?

The fact that I’ve built it on reputation and word of mouth.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be accommodating to all ages when it comes to choosing your music, as music can be the making of a memorable wedding.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

At a recent wedding in Sussex, the Groom’s Father asked me if I could play a song on his Father’s 1942 guitar. I restored it and mid wedding breakfast sat in front of Joe and Charlotte and played and sang ‘Can’t help falling in love with you’ on Joe’s Grandad’s guitar…They had no idea it was planned and there were lots of tears of joy! ( I managed to hold back mine..)

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I will always meet with them first to find out every detail about their special day. I will ask if they have any song requests and any songs they don’t want.I will visit the venue and liaise with the Events Manager so I can plan logistics beforehand and leave nothing to chance. I will send any recordings of song requests to them to make sure they are happy with them, keeping in regular contact until the day itself.

What makes a romantic first dance?

A song that means everything to the happy couple.
