Hard not to say my own really... however, as a band I must say, we really enjoyed the wedding we performed just recently for a same sex couple. Playing Auld Lang Syne at midnight on New Years Eve 2017 with confetti cannons exploding and a packed room of guests all singing and dancing to our music, that's the right way to start a year.
Folk. Fun. Energetic. Upbeat. Happy.
Being able to create awesome music with my friends - that and the regular supply of hog roasts...
Enjoy the process. You'll likely only do it once, stress helps no one and actually, the bits before can be as fun as the day itself.
Mostly we love seeing really personal bits added, like old photos or meaningful additions.
Somewhat organic. Typically a couple will give us an idea of what they want. We'll then go back with ideas, costs etc... and then together we'll reach an agreed plan of action. We then take a deposit, keep in touch until the wedding day and then make sure everything runs smoothly on the day. Simple really.
When the couple forget, for that moment, that anyone else is in that room with them - and just get lost in the moment, together.
Probably either one of our ceilidh tune sets or a song like Mustang Sally or Breakfast at Tiffanies
Me (Matt) personally, I'd of loved to have toured with the likes of Johnny Cash and Elvis, when the music industry was still so new and every sound produced was unheard-of before.
Typically, either some blues-funk like Joe Bonamassa or some acoustic fun from bands like Nizlopi or Mumford & Sons.
