What is your most memorable wedding?
I once did a wedding for a couple who had been together for 20+ years. Sounds like many other couples and weddings but the groom didn't know anything about this one and luckily said yes on the day. Great party and very memorable day.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Hands-on, approachable, understanding, perfectionist, motivated
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm completely independent and always will be. When you book me you get me.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Get to know who you are booking before you commit, just because they've got a big flashy website or all the top gear doesn't make them the right fit for everyone. This is the biggest day of your lives and you deserve to have people working for you that know who you are and what you want.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Slippers for the girls not flip-flops
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Initial enquiry leads to conversation with a lot of back and forth getting to know each other, I never pitch for dates I know I can not do! When I know enough information I will quote a price, if the couple agree to that price we secure the booking with a formal contract.
after contracts have been signed we arrange a follow up call to catch up midway through the planning period then a final face to face meeting (or video call if preferred) to go over the final details and really nail down what is happening on the day.
What makes a romantic first dance?
A song that is unique and clearly means something to the couple.
What is your number one floor-filler?
Currently Gala - Freed from Desire or The Killers - Mr Brightside
But as I said early every wedding is different and a floor filler can come out of nowhere.
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
Oasis or Blur - that era of brit-pop was crazy
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Take That - Never Forget , Always remember who you are and where you came from.
