Every wedding is memorable for different reasons. I make a point of getting to know my couples over a coffee and some cake (ideally!🍰) so I really get emotionally involved with them. One particular wedding that was seriously fun was the fantastic Conrad and Raymundo. These boys are an exuberant pair and we had lots of fun choosing music to suit their 'couple' personaility! I won't forget it when their lovely friends and family started clapping along as the boys made their big entrance!
Caring, thoughtful, lively, professional, kind
My number one planning tip..... mmmmm 🤔 to make sure that you are both in it together: that you are both happy and excited about the decisions you make as a couple. Remembering that at the end of the day, this is about the start of your marriage, so make sure you keep talking, sharing and make decisions that make you both happy.
So once couples have paid a £50 deposit and sent in a basic booking form, I then send out each couple a password to their own private page on my website. On this private page, couples fill in some questions about themselves as a couple; details concerning timings etc of their day; their dreams for their wedding and their music preferences. I think it's REALLY important that I understand the mood that couples want to create and understand a bit about their personality, so there are some fun questions for them to answer for me to find out 'who' they are. I then come up with a basic set list, including any of their favourite songs/bands that they have specified on their private page. During the lead up to their big day, I like to leave links to things / suppliers that I think might suit their wedding style (perhaps links to my Pinterest page). I also try to visit venues (where I can) and leave them go-pro videos of me rehearsing in their ceremony/rehearsal space, so they can get an idea of how it might feel on the day. The purpose of the private page is for couples to feel confident that I understand what their needs are for their big day.
Anything at all that you find romantic..... there are no rules! Whatever floats your boat and makes you all warm and fuzzy inside!
