What is your most memorable wedding?
We played a wedding on the SS Great Britain a few years ago which was really cool. Warwick Castle was another great experience!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fun, lively, danceable, modern & classic!
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our real reviews from clients and seeing a couples first dance go from rehearsal to the real thing.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book early as dates go fast. If it's left to the groom to 'sort the music' then get to it!!! We hate to say no!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Occasionally we have a groom to join us for a song or a family member. Everyone always loves this and it gets all the guests in such a great party mood....but it needs to be arranged before hand. We don't allow any great aunt Nelly to crash our vocals!!!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I take time to talk them through a typical reception and work alongside then venue to make sure the evening food does't come out just as we start playing. It's important to look at timings carefully. Then finding out favourite songs, first dance and really importantly what last song!
What makes a romantic first dance?
When it's a personal choice or a song that has amazing lyrics. Sometimes taking a song and stripping the arrangement back to piano/vocals and then have the band bring it in fully.
What is your number one floor-filler?
My motto is no fillers-just Killers!!! So we have lots of floor-fillers in our set. We have already played the new Ed Sheeran track 'Castle on the Hill' at a wedding and that worked well in the first set. Mr Brightside is still the biggest song of the night.....it always goes off!!!
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
Mmmm great question!! I would have loved to have played with James Browns band...so funky!
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Most albums from Blur have been around with me for years. I also had 'Tender' for my first dance.
