The Snap Chaps are a premium, all-singing roaming quartet that gets right in among your guests. We specialise in cheerful, interactive daytime sets that keep everyone smiling and singing, from arrival and drinks to desserts and early evening. Repertoire ranges from classy pop, jazz and swing to upbeat party favourites, indie and rock and roll.
What we do best: weave between groups, take live requests and create photo-ready moments without needing a fixed stage. For larger rooms we can add wireless amplification, and we also offer staged amplified sets when required.
Trusted by premium venues and brands including Chelsea Flower Show, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Newmarket Racecourses and The Shard. Award highlights include Hitched Wedding Awards 2025 Winner and Bridebook Best of 2025 Silver, with consistent five star Google reviews.
Chelsea Flower Show Bandstand across multiple years, plus a private event at The Shard. For weddings, we love intimate garden drinks where we can move freely and take requests.
How could we possibly choose a favourite! We do love our hometown of Cambridge and performing at the Colleges, so perhaps our wedding in 2022 at Downing College! An amazing venue, a really fun crowd and some great pics and memories which you'll see featured on our bio!
Fun, Engaging, Uplifting, Amusing, Sing-Along
Interactive, upbeat, musical, classy, fun.
Bringing people together table to table. Awards in 2025 and consistent five star reviews are lovely validation too.
We love performing music right at your guests feet, giving us the unique environment to engage with our audience, encouraging their participation and taking requests throughout the show too! We aim to provide you and your guests with a really warm, fun and memorable atmosphere and experience for your special day!
Plan ahead! We are often booked 2 years+ in advance by our wedding clients so it's important to book in the early stages to ensure our availability!
Plan the flow of the day first. We are perfect for short, lively sets placed around arrivals, photos and room turns keep energy high without interrupting the day.
A surprise serenade for grandparents during desserts. We love adding little unique moments like this. We also accompanied a number of brides and grooms who have joined the band to perform songs for their partners and guests too.
We been are a popular choice at musicians weddings, partly because we'll encourage the bride, groom and their guests to join the band for songs and have fun with us! We've had multiple events where the bride and groom and picked up instruments or borrowed ours and and we've accompanied them as part of the show! Our unique unplugged performance style makes this a really fun option!
I really like to kick things off with a chat over the phone, we'll talk through what you have in mind for your day and how best our entertainment options would compliment it! I'll then quote for what you have in mind and often provide some fun addon options too. Once you're happy to proceed, we'll provide a booking form which you can complete and sign easily online. There's a 20% deposit to secure the booking and date with the final balance due for payment in the final month.
We start with a friendly 10 to 15 minute consultation call to understand your venue, schedule, guest mix and the vibe you want. You then receive a personalised quote with two or three options built around your timings, for example Drinks Reception, Drinks plus Early Evening, or our Wedding Deluxe All-Day Package, with VAT clearly shown and travel included within 1 hour of Cambridge. A 20 percent deposit and contract secure the date, and we can provide PLI and PAT on request. Four to six weeks out we finalise your timeline, favourites and any do-not-plays, plus logistics with the venue. In the week of the wedding we reconfirm details and the balance is due seven days before. On the day we arrive 60 to 75 minutes before the first set for unplugged or 90 to 120 minutes if full PA, perform 3 x 30 minute roaming sets within a 3 hour window, run background playlists when we provide PA.
Audience participation! We're most at home performing up close, being cheeky and having fun with you and your guests! Amusing banter and audience participation is encouraged throughout and all included in the service!
A romantic first dance is a song that feels like you, performed at your tempo with a simple, heartfelt arrangement. We can play it live as a solo, duo or full band and trimmed to the perfect length. If you like, we’ll invite guests to join halfway through for a natural lift, then segue smoothly into your evening playlist or DJ so the dance floor fills straight away.
Difficult to choose! We loved this year, playing at the top of the Shard, at The Chelsea Flower Show, Newmarket Racecourse and also Premium Hospitality at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, alongside some amazing wedding venues up and down the country!
Our number one floor-filler is Little Bitty Pretty One by Thurston Harris. The bouncing groove, handclap breaks and call-and-response vocals suit our roaming lineup perfectly. The sax lines cut through, the tempo gets all ages moving, and the short, punchy structure lets us build momentum and segue straight into sing-along favourites.
We ARE often the surprise for these events, but we do love it when other musicians spontaneously get involved!
With four different tastes it is hard to choose, but if we had to pick one it would be The Beatles. Their melodies, harmonies and songcraft translate beautifully to our roaming acoustic setup, from early rock and roll to soulful ballads and sing along classics. Honourable mentions go to The Beach Boys for stacked harmonies, The Rat Pack for effortless crowd interaction, and The Temptations for groove and call and response moments.
Myke (sax) singing about his day job! It's guaranteed a lot of laughs! Arriving into a room by surprise performing on the move is always fun too.
You’ve Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman. Warm, cheeky and timeless, it captures exactly what we aim to bring to every event: connection, smiles and a sing along everyone knows. It sits perfectly with our roaming lineup too, with close harmonies, sax fills and a bouncy rhythm that works just as well at a garden drinks reception as it does in a packed evening room.
