The Hound Dogs are an award-winning, professional wedding and function band made up entirely of full-time musicians, with over ten years’ experience performing at weddings, private parties and corporate events across the UK and overseas.
Our focus is simple: to deliver an unforgettable night of live music while making the whole process smooth, relaxed and stress-free. From first contact to the final song, we pride ourselves on clear communication, reliability and performances that keep dance floors full from start to finish.
Musically, we cover a wide range of styles, from classic rock, pop, soul and Motown through to modern favourites, carefully chosen to appeal to guests of all ages. One of the things couples mention most in our feedback is our ability to get everyone dancing — from toddlers to grandparents — while keeping the energy high and the atmosphere inclusive.
We offer a range of flexible line-ups to suit your venue, schedule and budget. Options range from acoustic solo, duo and trio performances (ideal for drinks receptions or venues with sound restrictions) through to our powerful four- and five-piece bands, with larger line-ups available including keyboards, a female vocalist and live brass for those looking for extra impact. Each line-up is professionally balanced and tailored to your day.
All performances are fully self-contained, with professional PA and lighting, PAT-tested equipment and Public Liability Insurance included as standard. We’re experienced working in all types of venues — from large halls and marquees to more intimate spaces — and are very comfortable with sound limiters and volume-sensitive environments.
In addition to live band performances, we can also provide acoustic roaming sets for relaxed, interactive moments earlier in the day, as well as a musician-led DJ service to keep the party going before, between and after live sets.

Can we choose songs from your set list?
Yes — you’re very welcome to let us know any favourites from our set list, as well as any songs you’d prefer us to avoid. We’ll always shape the set around your tastes while using our experience to make sure the music flows perfectly on the day.
Can you learn a special song for our wedding?
Where possible, yes. If a song fits our style and is something we feel we can perform to a high standard, we’re happy to learn it in advance. Just let us know what you have in mind and we can talk it through.
Do you offer different band line-ups?
Yes — we offer a range of flexible line-ups to suit different venues and parts of the day. Options range from acoustic solo, duo or trio performances through to our four- and five-piece bands, with larger line-ups including keyboards, female vocals and brass available on request.
Is all equipment included in the price?
Yes — all quotes include a professional PA system and stage lighting suitable for your venue. All equipment is high-quality, fully PAT tested, and supplied and set up by us, so everything is taken care of on the day.
Can you provide music between sets or a DJ service?
Yes — we can provide music before and between live sets using a curated playlist, or connect your own device if you prefer. We also offer a professional, musician-led DJ service to keep the evening flowing and the dance floor busy until the end of the night.
How much time do you need to set up?
We usually allow around 60–90 minutes to set up, depending on the line-up and venue. That said, we’re very experienced with tight schedules and can often set up more quickly if needed — just let us know your timings.
Can you perform at venues with sound limits?
Yes — we regularly perform at venues with sound limiters and volume restrictions. We’re experienced at managing levels carefully and can adapt our setup to suit the space, ensuring great sound while staying within venue requirements.
