The Burdock Ceilidh Band

We would all like to thank you for the amazing music and entertainment you gave us on the 7th March. We all had an amazing time, the music was absolutely fantastic and the way you kept everyone on the dance floor having a wonderful time. The beautiful Blessing dance at the end was one of the most lovely things I’ve seen done at a wedding and our guests are still talking about it. Thank you again

Since our wedding we have had no shortage of people commenting on just how fantastic Dan and the Burdock Band were at our wedding reception. They literally got EVERYONE up and having fun - including several uncles that we never thought we would see dancing in a million years! They without a doubt were one of the best decisions we made for our special day. Well worth the money, hugely professional, excellent quality and really friendly. Thank you guys!

Fantastic band for a wedding. We booked them recently for a November 2019 wedding and everyone commented on how much fun they had. The band sounded great, were really enthusiastic and very easy to get on with. They even went as far as to prepare a dance based on a song from the Lord of the Rings on request. Highly recommend for a really enjoyable evening of music and dancing :)

The Band played our wedding earlier in the year, and we could not be happier! Dan is an excellent caller, and gets everyone up on the dance floor. Our friends and family all loved it, even though this was a first ceilidh for many! We really couldn't recommend the Burdock Band enough!

This band and ceilidh was absolutely brilliant. All of our guests said how much they enjoyed the dancing. The caller was absolutely brilliant, loud, funny and direct and didn’t ever get frustrated. We had ours outside on a perfect day and the burdock band made our day 🤩

We had The Burdock Ceilidh Band play at our wedding in July and they did a fantastic job. Dan was brilliaant at getting everyone up and dancing and communication with the band was excellent from the initial booking process. Highly recommend this professional band.

The Burdock Band played at our wedding in June and we had an amazing time! Dan and the Band were very flexible with timings and communication was good before the big day - no previous knowledge of ceilidh required, but they will ask you questions about the venue so they know what to expect. They set up after the wedding breakfast without a fuss in what was admittedly a smaller room than they may have normally been used to, but it all worked out fine. We had two sets of 45-60mins, with a gap in the middle for evening food. We were led through a variety of dances, some in circles, some in lines, some in groups, others with your partner - Dan does all the calling and walks you through it beforehand so you know all the moves before the band starts playing so its very easy, then you just go for it! All I'd say is make sure you have a drink ready as some of them can get quite energetic! Would highly recommend!

This is easily the best ceilidh band I have ever had the pleasure to dance too - they got everyone up and dancing and we laughed so hard our ribs hurt. Many of our guests had never done a ceilidh before but all agreed it was great fun. Highly recommend!

We threw The Burdock Ceilidh Band our fair share of challenges in the run up the wedding - namely concerning timings and space - but they took it all in their stride; handling it professionally and promptly. On the day, we hardly noticed the band arriving and setting up - they knew exactly what needed to be done. We had the band play an hour of instrumental music - without a caller - immediately after the meal, which worked really well; before moving into an hour of dancing with the caller. The caller did an excellent job of getting all our guests up and dancing; with all our photos proving just how much fun everyone had. Can't recommend this band enough! Amy & James

We had a barn wedding in early January and booked the Burdock Band as we’d heard good things about them. I knew how much fun a ceilidh could be at a wedding, and we were not disappointed! We booked the 4 piece band, who from start to finish were professional, talented, and great fun. They managed to get everybody up and dancing, even those who thought that they might be a bit too cool for ceilidh dancing! The wedding dance was a particular highlight, although it took a while to recover! I would 100% recommend The Burdock Band to anybody who is considering a barn/dance ceilidh.
