What is your most memorable wedding?
Oh I think it has to be 'The Devines' who got married at The Hythe Imperial Hotel & Spa one rainy Thursday in May. Lovely Venus never let the weather get her down as her beautiful smile filled the room as she walked down the aisle to her prince; Connor. Sugar Promotions set up and provided the musical entertainment from first thing in the morning until late at night. Playing vitamin string quartet music to her guests as they took their seats, we eagerly awaited our Bride as she gracefully walked down the aisle to her perfectly timed music, conducted seamlessly by DJ Andy who discreetly played the music from the back of the room. Not a dry eye in the hotel as the Devines' spoke thier vows. With a crishendo of Stevie Wonder, Signed Sealed Delivered and an erruption of applause followed by a burst of amazing gold confetti cannons, the newly weds danced back up the aisle to enjoy Champagne and photos on the sun terrace before heading in to the stunning ballroom for their Wedding Breakfast (The first meal as a married couple did you know?)
Alongside family and friends they enjoyed a stunning 4 course meal while DJ Andy played all of thier favourite sing along tunes in the background. Did you know Sugar Promotions can not only provide an amazing DJ set in the evening, we can also coordinate your Ceremony music and background music during the day, providing not only the best soundtrack to your meal, but also working to ensure timings are met with your toastmaster, registrar and caterer, hosting and introducing the speeches, the cake cutting, and many special moments you wouldnt have even thought of. Having worked with Connor and Venus throughout the planning of thier Wedding, they knew they could enjoy the meaningful music from throughout theirs and their families lives. These tracks may not neccessarily be a dancing track suitable for the evening disco but can be an amazing singalong and tap your feet to song during dinner. It created such a lovely atmosphere into the evening.
While guests enjoyed a glass of fizz in the stunning Moet and Chandon bar, Alongside David and his team, The Sugar Promotions team quickly transformed the ballroom by introducing a stunning white disco with a beautiful polished white starlit dancefloor, uplighting around the room and light up LOVE letters. Gliding open the folding doors to gasps of surprise Mr and Mrs Devine opened the floor for dancing with their first dance to 'Frank Sinatra - Can't take my eyes off you'
The guests took to the dancefloor and stayed there for the remainder of the night, only straying for a short while to watch a romantic display of fireworks out on the balcony overlooking the beautiful beachfront of Hythe.
The drinks were flowing, the photobooth was busy and the dancing continued until carriages at Midnight. With a huge round of applause and an emotional goodbye the new Mr and Mrs Devine headed off to enjoy married life, and until this day thanks to social media, we know they went off and lived happily ever after <3

What about your business are you most proud of?
Our attention to detail
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We usually meet our couples face to face at Wedding Fairs and Venue Showcases where we are the handpicked supplier. We also meet couples on platforms such as Bridebook and Instagram. From initial contact we want to hear what makes you click as a couple, we chat, we ask questions, we naturally get to know you and your vibe. From those questions we help build a bespoke package that suits your needs and venue. Once booked, we meet again for a home consultation, where we discuss all the finer details of the day, particularly music choices, timings and little extra special pieces of magic we can offer on the day. During the usual 2 years to 18 month period between initial contact and the big day, we keep in touch by email and couples follow us on social media, safe in the knowledge they have booked a quality supplier. On the big day we are there working seamlessly alongside the venue staff and other suppliers, we rock the entertainment for the day and night and then we come home in the small hours. Over the next few days and weeks we recieve reviews, thank you cards and comments across our socials, and often future bookings via recommendations to friends and family. We build relationships with our couples and often keep in contact for many years after.
What is your number one floor-filler?
The most personal of songs our couple chose during their consultation with us. Its the one the bridemaids jump up for that they danced to at the Hen, its the one the groomsmen rush away from the bar for to surround the groom after the crazy Ibiza themed stag, its even the one Grandad throws his walking stick away for. 'OMG this is our song' will be heard all night, not just once when you book your DJ at Sugar Promotions.
