What is your most memorable wedding?
"The most memorable wedding was the one where I was embraced as the member of the family"
2 years earlier I was booked to perform music at a wake for a gentleman who had passed away. It was one of his wishes to have steelpan music on his day. I was selected over many other choices, mainly because Weddings and Funeral days are both ends of the life cycle I love to be a part of. the first ever funeral was my mother, the 2nd my aunty. It was a wonderful afternoon, the music was well received and I had many a conversation with many of the family and friends in attendance.
2 years later I was invited to perform at the wedding of his daughter. Not only did I get to converse with many of the guests who attended the funeral .. but in the speeches there was a special message for me, thanking me for not only producing the music for the driks reception, but because it them feel like there father was there with them!!
