One of my most memorable weddings was at Dartmouth House during the cocktail hour. It was meant to be outside in the courtyard, but the weather had other plans, so everything moved indoors. Cocktail hours are usually more mellow, but I couldn’t resist bringing the vibes, and soon enough, the room turned into a dance floor! There was even an impromptu bridesmaids vs. groomsmen sing-off, which was so much fun. What I loved most was seeing how much joy it brought to the couple and their guests. I always go above and beyond to bring a couple’s vision to life, because I know how much preparation and heart goes into the day.

My journey as a wedding and events singer is rooted in my background as a singer-songwriter. I started by writing and performing relentlessly on stages of all sizes, alongside other artists, which has given me a different level of experience. I perform with the mindset of a creative; from how I arrange songs to how I put my own spin on them. As a MOBO-backed vocalist, I bring years of industry-standard experience into every performance, ensuring couples get something truly special and memorable.

Do your research and choose suppliers you really trust and lead with your gut. I make it my goal to be curious with my couples, asking the right questions to fully understand their vision so I can tailor my performance to their big day. When you have suppliers you trust and can communicate with easily in the lead-up, it allows you to truly relax. On the day itself, you’ll be able to soak everything in and simply enjoy every moment.

I’ve seen some really creative touches that I love! A polaroid station for the guest book is such a nostalgic keepsake. Personalised newspapers are another favourite, telling the couple’s love story, celebrating loved ones who couldn’t be there, and doubling up as great photo props. I also adore when brides provide flip-flops for the ladies in heels for the evening so they can let their hair down and dance their feet off.

From the very first enquiry, I like to get curious and make sure no key details are missed. I encourage all couples to hop on a call so we can discuss your wedding at length, with follow-ups as needed. Once your booking is secured, you’ll have my personal number so you can reach me anytime with questions. About a month before the big day, I always check in as I understand things evolve, and it’s a chance to finalise details and run through the setlist with you. I also liaise directly with venues and coordinators to make sure everything runs smoothly from a technical and timing perspective. Then, when the big day arrives, all that’s left for you to do is relax, enjoy, and let me take care of the music.

What makes a romantic first dance is choosing the right song, one that truly resonates with you as a couple. It might be the track that marked a significant moment in your relationship, or simply a song that holds deep emotional value. And of course, having the right singer to bring that song to life makes it all the more unforgettable.

This is so hard to choose because it really depends on the couple and the primary genre of the primary genre of the night, but a go-to classic for me would have to be Proud Mary. It’s timeless, everyone knows it, and the energy is unbeatable. It's never failed to get people singing along and filling the dance floor.

Without a doubt, Destiny’s Child...there’s no other answer for me. Their harmonies, their stage presence, their energy… need I say more?

Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. For me, it’s a reminder that no matter what curveball life throws my way, things will somehow always work out for the best. As someone with Caribbean roots, reggae music has always brought me a sense of peace peace and positivity. It’s feel-good music for the soul. So it's only right that this song in particular would be the soundtrack to my life.
