Sonore String Quartet

They are very talented musicians and having live music during our ceremony and the drinks reception really bought everything together. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful and emotive it was especially for the walking down the aisle song. Sonore were great at communicating and played all of our requests. Kathryn was great at working out the timings of the aisle song so my bridesmaids walked down the aisle at the right pace so I could enter at the designated point in the song. I am so glad we had Sonore for our special day! Thank you so much

Sonore string quartet played at our wedding and they were absolutely wonderful! They have a fantastic, broad repertoire, and even agreed to learn a new piece for the bridal entrance. We had classical music throughout guest arrival and ceremony, and modern/pop songs during the drinks reception. They played beautifully, and the arrangements were brilliant! Great communication throughout. Definitely recommend - they offer duos and trios, also.

They're very versatile across just about any musical genre and are also lovely people who are patient and nice to deal with. They played at my 65th birthday celebration and guests told me afterwards that some of them really enjoyed playing 'name that tune'! Unfortunately, because of space limitations at the venue I could only book two of them (a violinist and a cellist) but they more than made up for this by managing to sound like a full orchestra. Struck exactly the right balance of music choices and volume to be enjoyable without being too obtrusive and definitely made a big difference to the evening. Thoroughly recommend them for any event, they gave mine 100%+ in every way!

We booked Sonore String Quartet to play at our wedding in the South of France during the summer of 2019 and are so glad that we did. They were reliable and helpful in the lead up to our wedding. My wife and I were not sure on which songs to have and they helped us to choose the right ones for us and were very understanding. On the day of our wedding they turned up early in plenty of time. We did not have to worry about them and all of our guests remarked on how well they played and how professional they were. We cannot speak highly enough of them. One of the best decisions we made was booking them to play at our wedding! Would highly recommend them.

Amazing! It was so lovely to work with Kathryn and the group to create a beautiful bit of music for our wedding. They were so helpful and accomodating and went above and beyond to obtain sheet music and learn new pieces for us. Could not have been happier with them and the beautiful music they played for us. Wish I could have them all over again with time to just sit and listen to it all! Very grateful to have had them be part of the day.

Sonore were absolutely incredible and made my proposal which was a complete surprise even more special. Particularly enjoyed the Harry Potter medley and Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. Thank you so much for making the occasion even more special. We will remember it forever. 💍🙂

We employed the services of Sonore String Quartet for our intimate Civil Wedding service on the 14th Sept at The George Hotel, Stamford, where they played for the service and after in the garden.
