After 35 years as a wedding DJ, I decided to"hang up my headphones" and move to providing a different service.
If you're looking for a Master of Ceremonies who will take care of you all day long, then let's chat!
All weddings are memorable - I love what I do and seeing the happy couple at their happiest. There was this one time with Darth Vader though......
Personal, Passionate, Professional
I love what I do, I love doing extra for my brides and grooms to help their day go well - and the feedback I get makes me proud - and seeing their faces on the day makes me incredibly proud!
Mentally walk through your day, touching every element and check how is it getting there, who is supplying it. This is a fabulous last check that everything is planned.... Example would be - orders of service. Are they written? Who is printing them? How are they getting to the venue? Who will give them out?
Once you have decided to book Silverball Leisure to provide the disco (and more) for your wedding reception we are always available to offer guidance or advice on any aspect of your special day. With 30 years experience as a DJ and Events Professional, we have a lot of answers - and if we are stumped we also have a Facebook chat group where you can ask other brides for advice! We want to ensure all of your wedding planning is as stress free as possible.
In the run up to your wedding day we will meet face to face – if not we’ll talk by phone/Skype or (at worst) very detailed emails! This meeting is to discuss your music choices, the timetable for your day and allows me to get to know you a bit better and understand how your special day will go. I will then make sure that all your special music is available to me, and listen to your first dance several times so I know when best to make announcements etc.
To keep a crowd entertained - engage with them, read them, and remember that the day and the party is about people enjoying themselves and celebrating the day - it is NOT about the DJ's ego!
Dancing Queen. Even people who "don't like cheese" just can't help themselves...
No tricks, no gimmicks - but I do carry a sword! Its for cutting the cake if you want that extra bit of flair and fun!
