She’ll take you back to a golden age of glamour and song; marvellous melodies made famous by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simon, Dinah Washington, Judy Garland, and many more. Ruth also loves to perform contemporary numbers with a vintage twist, everything from Beyonce and Madonna to Blondie and Britney. Fifties and sixties numbers are also in her repertoire if you’re looking for a slightly more recent vintage vibe. For those throwing a 1920s or Peaky Blinders wedding bash then Ruth has a specific roaring 20s set which will add a decadent twenties vibe to your big day. Whether you’re looking for background vocals to add some ambiance to your wedding breakfast or drinks reception or you’d prefer more audience interaction, Ruth is an experienced artist and can provide either of these options. She can also sing as your walk down the aisle or for your first dance. And if you have a special song which you'd like Ruth to learn, she can do this for a small additional charge. What is your most memorable wedding?

One of the most memorable weddings I ever did was when the groom asked me to learn the song 'La Mer' for his French bride. (the English version is called 'Beyond The Sea) I learnt the whole song in French and when I started singing, the bride and her family and friends starting whooping and cheering! It was brilliant to be able to sing something so personal and special for the brides big day.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't lose your sense of humour!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once a couple has made a booking then we organise the finer points by email. I then like to have a chat on the phone and hopefully meet in person if possible. If that's not possible we can arrange a Zoom call. I always like to keep in touch throughout the months leading up to the wedding and I'm happy to chat or respond to any queries or concerns.
