Looking for wedding music that feels personal, stylish and genuinely memorable?
I'm Phil Smyth, a Devon-based wedding singer, guitarist and entertainer providing live music for ceremonies, drinks receptions and evening celebrations across Devon, Cornwall and the South West.
Whether it's an emotional aisle song, laid-back acoustic music during drinks, or a packed dancefloor later in the evening, my goal is always the same: create the perfect atmosphere for your day.
My performances combine live vocals, acoustic guitar and modern live-looping techniques to create a bigger sound than you'd expect from a solo performer, whilst keeping the warmth and personality of live music at the heart of everything I do.
Throughout the day I perform a mix of modern favourites, timeless classics and crowd-pleasing singalongs, tailored to suit the mood of your wedding and the people in the room.
Many couples book me for the entire day, from the ceremony right through to the evening celebrations. For larger parties, I can also provide live band options through New Heroes, creating a seamless transition from relaxed daytime entertainment to a high-energy evening party.
With hundreds of weddings performed across the South West, I understand how important it is to get every detail right. From our first conversation through to the final song of the night, you can relax knowing your wedding music is in safe hands.

What about your business are you most proud of?
Having performed all day services 100's of times for couples I am proud of the fact that I can provide a calm and reassuring service where everything is taken care of and through experience can help make for a smooth running order where all the worry is taken away
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
You only do it once so book the band, book the singer, really go for it and you can create the most wonderful memories and the soundtrack to remember forever
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Table cards with pictures of the bride and groom and different fun facts about the relationship, how they met, what’s their favourite thing, their most awkward moment… You saw a lot of people walking to other tables to read the different fun facts.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like a pre wedding meet up to discuss the running order of the day, special song requests and get a feel of how the couple are an get to know them a little better.
What makes a romantic first dance?
A song which has a real connection to the couple. I've seen and sang slow beautiful songs and also up tempo dancey songs where the couple had a huge smile and danced like crazy. These moments are always special
