Other than my own? We did a festival style Wedding recently outside in the open air. We provided not only the DJ, but live sax, percussion, dance floor, Co2 cannons, sparklers, ceremony music, we really did pull out all of the stops, and the results were spectacular.
Perfectionists, attentive, experienced, reliable, entertaining
Continuing to wow all of our couples week in week out and helping make their wedding the best day ever
If you choose to ask your guests for a song choice when RSVP’ing, please be sure to add ‘at Couples discretion’, and also ask for ‘a song that would get everyone on the dance floor’. Many times we have been given a horrendous bunch of tracks from guests, including first dances and songs that no-one knows.
We once did a Wedding where all the men wore colourful trousers, the more colourful the better! This added some fun and a talking point to the day. One guests even came in gold MC Hemmer trousers.
We pride ourselves in giving the client exactly what they want from their DJ for their big day. They can have as much say as they want. We will then use our experience to play those tracks, but also keep the dance floor as full as possible by mixing and blending in similar styles and building the energy. We send them a form to fill in with what genres they want (and DO NOT want) to hear. We will then give them a call in the week leading up to the booking to go over all points carefully and ensure we are all on the same wavelength with regards to the music.
The first dance needs to be something very personal to the couple. We feel that this is one time they can really share something personal to them, so we urge for them today deep to remember a song that really means a lot to them. Maybe a song that was playing in a restaurant on holiday, or on a dance floor at university. Something that triggers a memory.
This is always a very tricky questions to answer - it all depends on the dance floor at hand, the age of the guests dancing at that time. Different people react to difference music. The floor filler could be anything from Mr Brightside, to Dua Lipa, to Gala - Freed From Desire, to a current dance hit such as LF - System Afraid To Feel (*as at Sept ’22*)
The Prodigy
My life is very varied - so the soundtrack would be varied, consisting of electronic artists such as Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk, hip-hip artists such as Dr Dre and Eminem, and rock including Rage Against the Machine and The Killers.
