Marvellous Disco - providing multi-award winning quality mobile disco / DJ services to the North of England, Scottish borders and beyond! Although I do mostly specialise in wedding entertainment, I can cater for any type of event - birthday's, anniversaries, engagement parties etc.
My music is extremely varied, and I can cater for any age or music type from 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s to modern chart; from rock & roll to R&B; from dubstep to Punjabi. My equipment is valued at over £15,000 and includes the Liteconsole XPRS Go DJ booth, HK Audio speaker systems and a great lightshow with 2 x DMX Sync Gigbar Move's plus colour wash parcans.
I am not your stereotypical "cheesy" wedding DJ. I do not spend the evening chatting on the microphone, making fun of grandma, or playing back to back depressing love ballads. I am a modern, exciting and upbeat DJ. I mix the music that you want to hear and want to dance to, from all eras and genres! And all done without hearing a peep out of me - I am more than happy to make announcements and give small bits of encouragement on the microphone, but I typically let the music do the talking!
For the first dance, it's ALWAYS a white-light only situation. This looks great for wedding photos and there is no risk of horrid coloured dots all over your face!
When you book your event with Marvellous Disco, you are given your own secure section of our website where you can keep track of your event, submit any music requests that you may have and keep on top of your schedule (ie times for cake cutting, speeches etc.).

What is your most memorable wedding?
I DJ'd for a Gypsy wedding (that was part of the Channel 4 TV show). That was a very interesting experience!

I love my equipment. I pride myself on having top of the range lighting, booth and sound systems
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have a good think about the sort of music you would like, but remember, you also have to make sure your guests have a great night too.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love the fact that every wedding is different and each has their own unique personal touches. My most recent was the "Private last dance". Where all the guests were cleared out of the room and the bride and groom enjoyed the final song all to themselves! A great idea, and an excellent way to finish the evening.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
If we are unable to arrange a meeting in advance, I like to discuss things in detail either over the phone or via email. I am contactable at all times and typically reply straight away with any queries that may be had
What makes a romantic first dance?
A great song that isn't Ed Sheeran!
What is your number one floor-filler?
It depends on the age group and vibe in the room. Personally, I love 'Fire Burning' by Sean Kingston
