Singing the first dance song for a dear friend, there wasn't a dry eye in the house, there was so much love in the room it was incredible
Relaxed, atmospheric, popular, acoustic, passionate
That I am doing what I able to live my dream of performing live
Be on the same page with vision, style and budget.
When a couple had a table of photographs for relatives that had passed or were too poorly to attend
Communicate with the couple in a manner that suits them, talk to them about their plans for the day, any themes, the venue, style or ambience they are looking for. Set out the packages, work with the couple to determine exactly what they need and work through any amendments. Communicate with the couple throughout the latent period to let them know how rehearsals are going, ask for details of the venue and whether there is a wedding coordinator. Determine which songs should and should not be in the play list. Set about learning any special requests.
When the song means something to the couple or their relationship
My songs are not massively up-beat, but the ones that get the best response tend to be Sweet Child of Mine, Take me Home (Country roads) and Don't Stop Believing.
I would have loved to have been a part of Abba, or Queen!
The soundtrack to my life right now is Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker!
