Fiona has also studied the piano, violin and singing but when she began the Harp at age 6 it soon became apparent that the other instruments were secondary to her interest in the Harp.
She has gained extensive experience performing throughout the UK and abroad. With her varied repertoire she has delighted a wide range of clients with her soothing and uplifting music and her statuesque gold harp has added an air of refinement and relaxation.
Often described as the most friendly, down-to-earth Harpist about, with a strong sense of humour and a sympathetic musical ear, Fiona ensures that your musical tastes are adhered to and is flexible and thoughtful in her approach. Her professionalism is evident throughout her attitude to playing and providing a first class service for each occasion and her vast amount of knowledge within the Wedding Industry (nearly 20years!) means that she's experienced when dealing with clients requests and queries.
Fiona's repertoire is forever growing - Debussy, Pachelbel, Grieg and Faure sit alongside Guns n Roses, Massive Attack, Coldplay, Adele and other modern pieces through to the more unusal requests: Pokémon, The A Team or Match of the Day ...nothing phases her! :D
Her recorded music is on Spotify and her Website and she always tries to respond to enquiries within a 24-48hr period.
Difficult to answer as I must have played at over 2,000 weddings! I've had a Pokémon wedding, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and many other styles, a few well-known celebrity weddings too.
However, some of the most memorable ones are where it's not themed as such and y9ou can just feel the vibes between the couple themselves!

How I've been self-employed as a Harpist for nearly 20years, having procured most of my work myself, through networking, connections and hard graft. I've worked and lived in a huge variety of places/countries and still love what I do, it's never waned...
Trust your gut instinct - don't be told what to have for your wedding by others... and remember - you won't be able to please everyone...
Hand sewn place cards by the Groom's Mum and having a recoding made of the pieces that I've played for them after the honeymoon as a surprise gift from the Groom to the Bride
After the initial enquiry has been made, I email all of my details to the proposed client. Once a booking fee is made to secure the date, I invite the couple to discuss music further and to see if the couple have any other questions they'd like to ask of me.
About 1 month before the wedding date itself, I contact the couple, just to 'touch base' and to go through any final musical details that need tweaking.
Just enjoying the moment together and not making it a feature length choreographed film, feeling at ease and relaxed and not on 'high alert' with the person. Not everything has to match but to get each others sense of humour and moral stand in life is vital.
