Special Offer for 2022: I will plant a tree in my Dartmoor woodland for every couple.
Apart from the harp, my big passion is TREES! I've been the proud owner of a little patch of woodland for fourteen years. I will plant a tree for you and you're welcome to come and plant it with me if you like. Then we can toast your tree with a bit of a tipple and extend the wedding celebrations just a little bit more. Great fun!
And now here's a bit more about me:
Elizabeth-Jane Baldry studied at Exeter University and the Royal College of Music and now gives around sixty performances a year. She is the only silent movie harpist in the world, performing live accompaniment to cinema screenings of early film. She has performed to sold-out audiences in the US, in Italy and in France. And she loves playing for weddings!
Her uniquely rich tone on the harp has graced several film/TV soundtracks screened in over thirty countries including America, Canada, Iceland, Kenya, Iran, South Africa, Poland and Cyprus.
Her compositions have been used by ITV, the BBC and by Irish, Japanese, Danish and Canadian film, radio and television. Her orchestral score for the feature film, Sir Lanval, won a Media Innovation Award in 2012.
In her spare time, she makes films of British fairytales with Chagford Filmmaking Group. She is also creating a magical woodland near Chagford where she keeps bees, listens to the birdsong and brews tea in a twig kettle.
