I'm an Instrumental Acoustic Guitarist with over 30 years' experience playing and performing in a wide range of styles and settings. Over the years I've performed as a solo act as well as appearing in numerous original, cover and tribute bands. I am dedicated to giving the best performance possible and have a real passion for the guitar and music in general.
Reasons to choose me for your wedding:
Musical Styles
Having the right background music at your wedding can really enhance the guest experience and help to create a relaxed and enjoyable mood. Do you want some entertainment that will impress your guests and create a comfortable atmosphere without being too loud and intrusive? If so, acoustic instrumental guitar music will be perfect for your special day.
As you'll see from the song list, I cover a wide variety of styles in my repertoire to suit audiences of any age and musical taste. Including everything from classical pieces, folk standards, pop and rock classics and even film music, there really is something here for everyone.
Inventive Arrangements
Instantly recognisable versions of hit songs from the 60s right up to the modern day are always very popular with wedding guests young and old. What you'll hear are carefully arranged pieces which pick out not only the core music of the song but also the vocal melody line (often the most recognisable part of a song) played at the same time on the acoustic guitar. These unique versions of popular classics add an extra wow factor rather than a set composed solely of unknown classical music.
Bespoke Performances
I pride myself on the fact that no two performances are the same. Each one is carefully planned to create exactly the right atmosphere. You can have as much or as little input as you want when deciding on the songs to be included. Either pick from the list or just state the kind of theme you want and I'll do the rest. If there's a particular song you want to include but can't see it on the list then feel free to contact me and I'll go the extra mile to work out an arrangement, given enough time prior to your event.
Of course. I'll work with you to create the perfect performance that suits the mood and theme of your event.
I have a number of different guitars and my own amplifiers including a battery powered speaker meaning I don't even need a power socket (depending on the length of the performance).
It's best to book as early as possible to ensure availability but there is no minimum booking time prior to the event if I'm free. Just contact me and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
No, I'll consider any event large or small. I have a powerful high quality amplifier suited to both bigger and smaller rooms so your guests will never have a problem hearing my performance.
Absolutely! I love playing outdoor weddings (weather permitting!) and have a battery powered speaker meaning I'm very mobile and don't need to be near a power supply. If the weather is bad on the day I would need to perform under cover.
My normal base is in the Midlands however I'll consider any location. A surcharge applies if your venue is more than 50 miles away from LE9 postcode.
I can be set up and ready to play in about 15 minutes, however I would normally arrive between 30 and 60 minutes before the performance to ensure everything is in place and to avoid any problems.
I just need a chair with no arms and a two metre squared (minimum) area to set up in. You don't need to supply food or drink for me on the day.
Usually couples may want me to play at different stages of their event (e.g. while guests arrive, then later on during the drinks reception). Normally I would arrive no more than an hour prior to my performance and as an average, based on standard pricing, would expect to be at you venue around 4 hours in total. As always I'd love to discuss your requirements with you so if you need me for the full day, feel free to reach out and we can work out a suitable price for this.
To confirm your booking I require a payment of 10% of the total cost, then the full balance should be paid minimum 14 days before your event.
