In the lead-up to and during our wedding reception on 24/08/25 at The Bond Digbeth. We are profoundly disappointed with the service provided, which significantly detracted from what should have been a memorable and joyous occasion.
The issues began with the pre-event communication. My partner and I found the process of contacting Wayne or his team to be stressful and tiresome, requiring multiple attempts with a sheer lack of follow-up.
This complete breakdown in communication caused unnecessary stress during an already busy and important time. Furthermore, the passive-aggressive message regarding venue parking, which asserted that our contract made us responsible for them and there team's allocation, was unprofessional and contributed to our sense of unease about your service.
Once the payment was made, it became clear that the professionalism of your organization was severely lacking. The apparent disregard for our event demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding of your role as a service provider for a major life event. A wedding is about creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy, and the role of an entertainment service is to deliver on that promise with entertainment, respect, and fulfillment—all of which were noticeably absent from your service.
The most significant and distressing aspect of our experience was the DJ performance on the night. Just three days before our wedding, we were informed of a last-minute DJ replacement due to an illness. While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, this late notification left us with no opportunity for consultation or to become acquainted with the replacement. The DJ who arrived was unfamiliar with our event, had no prior knowledge of our musical brief, and did not demonstrate the professionalism we had contracted for.
The DJ’s mixing and music selection were of a poor standard, and when guests politely requested different songs or a change in genre to align with the agreed-upon brief, they were met with rudeness and defensiveness. Given that a large portion of our guests are professional DJs and music producers with decades of industry experience, the performance was not only disappointing but also embarrassing. The music was so poorly received that many of our guests chose to remain outside the venue rather than endure the reception’s atmosphere. This outcome was a complete failure to deliver the "reliable, quality, well-programmed, and mixed music" we were promised.
This experience stands in stark contrast to the professional expectations we had. It has come to our attention from speaking with a previous client that this is not an isolated incident, and that their own experience was described as "mediocre." The cumulative effect of these failures on our wedding day is deeply regrettable.
Attached is a recent email from said organization threatening to take us to court if we post anything online and, attempting to bridge between both myself and my wife Izabela!
