What is your most memorable wedding?
All weddings are special and memorable for me. I love playing in different venues. The most memorable of these has to be a hotel in Thame Oxfordshire, which was later purchased by Robin Gibb of the BeeGees.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Adaptable, Easy-going, Confident, Friendly, Funny
What about your business are you most proud of?
I go above and beyond to make sure the day is as perfect as possible. I charge per job which ensures you don't need to worry about me working overtime or leaving. If you're late, I'll be there keeping your guests entertained for as long as you need me to.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When planning your music, choose something you both like as a couple. You don't need to choose your music at the time of booking. Take your time, it's important.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Weddings are a day for all of the guests too. I have seen suppliers not engage with guests, I have seen others go out of their way to do this. I know a violinist who will always play a special something for the children...
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We arrange a discussion either by phone or zoom, so that I can find out more about them and their likes/dislikes.
I explain how I work and answer any questions they may have, then I get back to them with a quote, and often an alternative that they may choose to add or change later on.
If the couple are happy, I send an email with what we have discussed and decided and a contract, which needs to be signed and returned together with their deposit, then I book the day in my diary.
We decide how often I will keep in contact with the couple.
What makes a romantic first dance?
A smoochy classic number with a great melody that inspires others to join in when/if it's appropriate
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
ELO of course, though I'd really want to have been part of Queen!
