The Crystal Palace String Quartet offer a professional, reliable and friendly service with a twenty year track record of providing live musical performances of the highest calibre for thousands of appreciative audiences and clients. Our huge repertoire ranges from Pachelbel to present-day pop artists, and we're very much at home in any venue, large or small.
The string quartet is the ideal size of ensemble for events that range from a handful of guests up to a few hundred or more. The combination of two violins, viola and cello can create a wide range of textures and moods, varying from subtle and delicate to a powerful, rich string sound, which carries equally well in small or large halls, in marquees, churches or outdoors. For larger spaces we can supply a PA system with sound engineer, to ensure the most appropriate volume and atmosphere for your event.
String quartets can perform music ranging from pop, rock and traditional songs, light classics, jazz, film, show and TV themes to major works of the baroque, classical and romantic eras. CPQ's members are active freelance musicians, regularly working with major London orchestras and ensembles. We also go out as a string trio or duo, and can supply solo instrumentalists for more intimate venues, or if your budget doesn't allow for a full quartet. Based in East London, we're happy to travel to wherever you might like us to perform for your and your guests.
