Your wedding may just be another date in the diary to many, but to me it is a lot more. I don't see your wedding as just another gig. It is both an honour and a privilege to perform for the most important day of your lives. No two weddings are the same and yours deserves a whole lot more than just a standard package. Since 1994, I have performed at many weddings over the years and 2010 saw a big change to how I approach such a personal and emotional occasion. That year I had the pleasure and privilege of undertaking my younger sister's wedding. This was my first full day wedding which included the ceremony music and where I acted as their MC! This really was an amazing day and a pivotal point in my DJ career. If I can do this for my sister, then I can do fully personalised weddings for other brides! Since then, I have had the pleasure of hosting some wonderful weddings and have been on training courses to improve my levels of performance and service to you. I love music and carry an extensive selection spanning six decades, covering most genres and tastes. I would love to know about your music preferences so together, we can create the perfect soundtrack to your special day. In keeping with your beautiful venue, modern, discreetly styled equipment is used to deliver sublime sound quality and atmospheric lighting to bring your venue to life. All set up in a tidy and tasteful manner as not to invade your wedding photos! This is more than just four hours of music blasting from the corner with random coloured dots of light. What is your most memorable wedding?

That's a tough one as I've done some wonderful weddings. I would have to say it was my sister's wedding in 2010 that stands out for me. This was my first all day wedding and a real honour to perform. This was a turning point in my DJ career and changed the way I see weddings!

Fun, Passionate, Dedicated, Relaxed, Approachable

What about your business are you most proud of?

My personal service as a sole trader. It is ME you speak to, meet with and ultimately me who arrives on the day to entertain you and your guests.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Talk to your prospective suppliers. Follow your heart and choose who you feel comfortable with rather than price! NEVER plan your wedding through an accountant's eyes as there is only one chance to get it right!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The father and daughter dance where the father hands his little girl to the groom as they go into the first dance. Always a very sweet moment!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I offer to meet with the couple at the point of enquiry. This can be at a coffee shop, bar, the venue or at the couple's home. This is more of a job interview than a sales pitch, as you need to feel comfortable with your DJ.

What makes a romantic first dance?

Carefully rehearsed dance moves always make for a big wow factor over the usual shuffle. A song that is unique to the couple, even better if it tells a story and reflects the love between the happy couple.

What is your number one floor-filler?

Traditionally it is Abba's Dancing Queen but this has become something of a cliché to the point of being on many 'banned' lists in recent years! There are many great floor-fillers out there. This is what makes our job so much fun!

Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?

I can't play any instruments (well, I am a DJ) but I would love to have been Paul Weller's drummer in the Jam if I had a choice.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

As an 80s kid who grew up with music, I'd say the bulk of the hits from around 1978 to 1994!
