What is your most memorable wedding?
I did a wedding for a couple named Rachel and Shaun. It rained all day so the couple were quite disappointed, but the minute the dancefloor opened, they decided to make the most of it. Every one of the guests stayed on the dance floor until the last song!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
I always lean towards pop, dance, and rock, but I'm happy to play any style or genre of music.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My many years of wedding experience, and my new equipment.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure to communicate all your requirements to your wedding suppliers, and then enjoy your wedding!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A couple grew small trees in their garden for years before the wedding and used them as centrepieces on the tables.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It starts with a meeting to get to know each other and finalise the playlists. On the day, I execute the plan as agreed, and I follow up after the wedding to ensure the couple are happy.
What makes a romantic first dance?
A couple gave their guests dim lights to hold while they gathered around their dancefloor for the first dance, and they performed an amazing choreographed dance. It was a beautiful moment.
What is your number one floor-filler?
Uptown Funk
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
My own band was my favourite band, and I was fortunate enough to be a part of it from beginning to end.
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Previously, it was my own band's songs, and then it became all the songs I play while DJing.
