What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Not to leave everything to the last minute. Whilst it's clear that planning a wedding is very stressful, lots and lots to organise. However the band, the singer, or even the DJ are perhaps the only bit of the evening that will either leave you on a high or a low, so be sure to communicate well in advance expressing your wishes, and liaise with whoever is providing your entertainment to ensure that your wishes are known. If the food wasn't too wonderful, or the venue didn't quite meet with expectation, or the flowers wilted before the end of the night, or the speeches went on a bit too long. With all of that, if the entertainment is right, and people are up dancing, and having a great time, they will forget all the hitches along the way, indeed as you will also.
