What is your most memorable wedding?
There are so many wonderful weddings I've played for, but one that stands out is the first time I played grand piano at Blenheim Palace. Such a fabulous location!

Being able to do what I love and being a small part of the most important day of peoples lives.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
On the music front:
Consider what would sound great on piano. Not all fantastic music works well on piano so consider choosing songs that have a strong melody and are not too reliant on complex rhythm sections.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
For each and every guest, the bride and groom made a donation to a well known, and fantastic charity
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We often chat via email to start with discussing various options, songs, timings etc. Often we would then speak on the phone to finalise the booking and over the coming months (sometimes years) touch base as and when the couple have additional questions regarding songs, requests etc.
What makes a romantic first dance?
The best song is the one that means the most to you and your partner. Popular ones include: Make You Feel My Love, Thinking Out Loud, Your Song and A Thousand Years.
What is your number one floor-filler?
As a pianist it always amazes me what songs get the positive comments. Certain songs hold strong emotions to different people, and for different meanings. Last week I had a lady moved by some Beethoven and on more than one occasion I've had people request and love Greenday tracks (often Time of Your Life). Others include songs by James Taylor, Ed Sheeren, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra.
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
The London Philharmonic Orchestra during the week, Oscar Peterson's Jazz Band during the weekday evening and Queen on a Saturday night (does that count?!) :-)
What is the soundtrack to your life?
It is ever changing. Stravinsky rightly articulated: there are only two types of music, good and bad. As such. my life soundtrack really does change by the month (sometimes day!).
