Stunning materials, a classic quality service

I had the pleasure of using James Cameron Tailoring for my wedding suit for our winter wonderland wedding in Banff Springs Canada. I chose to use James because of his attention to detail, creative approach and high quality tailoring. Working with James was a pleasurable experience and getting the right suit for our big day was really important. Not only did James have to produce something that could work in sub zero temperatures, I was also carrying a lot of weight at the time and needed something that would work with my awkward shape. James absolutely nailed it. He took the time to create a completely bespoke 3 piece that had all the intricate detail I wanted, but also provided the consultancy I needed to guide me towards something that would fit my practical requirements. Stunning materials, a classic quality service and a tailor I will definitely be going to for my next bespoke suit.

It fits better than anything I’ve worn before

The best suit I own is without doubt my James Cameron - it fits better than anything I've worn before or since I had it made. With a keen eye for detail, great ranges of fabrics and a warm and personable approach to what he does, James gave my friend and I a really great experience throughout the process. He masterfully steers your own creativity with his incredible knowledge of cuts, cloths and of course the culminating style. I would whole-heartedly recommend this tailor to anyone, and often do! Thanks James!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

We recently designed a suit for an Art Deco inspired wedding. It was very urban chic and the groom looked amazing in his navy 3 piece that was designed during the pre wedding consultation. The suit fitted him perfectly and looked great in the photos.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fearless, quality, individuality, style & grace

What about your business are you most proud of?

Our relaxed and warm approach makes the whole process of having a bespoke made to measure consultation more informal and a place to explore each individuals’ creativity and personality. We’ve taken the stiff upper lip out of Tailoring making it a fun and enjoyable experience.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Relax and take your time to make it truly what you want. Enjoy the process in the run up to your big day!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

There are so many personal touches at weddings. A lot of our customers like to have the date of their wedding or their initials embroidered into their suit jacket which always makes for nice photos and gives that extra special touch.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

First of all we start with a pre wedding consultation with either the groom and bride to be or sometimes the groomsman depending on how many suits are being made. This is an oppourtunity to talk through the style/theme, time of year and venue of your wedding. We listen to your ideas and help you create the perfect suit for your big day. You will be able to choose your fabric, lining, style of suit and any personalisation you wish to have. The next step is to take your measurements so the suit is made to fit you perfectly. The suit then takes 6-8 weeks to be made. Once the suit is complete we will arrange a fitting for you to try on the suit and make sure it is exactly how you want it and to make sure it is comfortable to wear all day! At this stage we can make any alterations that might need doing. Once you are fully satisfied with the design and fit you are ready for the big day!

What are your favourite wedding traditions for men?

The speeches! This is the part we always look forward to at weddings as this is where the true personality of the bride and groom come to life. They can make you laugh, cry and cheer all in one toast!
