What is your most memorable wedding?
I genuinely enjoy every wedding I do. Every customer is so unique that it is a real joy. This year I've designed for weddings in Barbados, South of France and England and its great fun everytime.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, stylish, understated, elegant, timeless
What about your business are you most proud of?
That our quality is second to none and I want my couples to have a wonderful, luxurious experience that they can enjoy. I make sure that the entire process is straight forward and even fun.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your first suit consultation 3-4 months prior to the wedding. There's lots going on and its important that the Groom doesn't leave his suit to the last minute.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Small details on the suits such as names delicately embroidered inside of a wedding suit, or a secret splash of colour make a suit. It's about the small quirks that make it individual to that person, not going over the top.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I find out where their day will be, time of year and their colour scheme, so I am able to create a vision for their suit that will be appropriate for their day. Once this has been defined, I will take measurements and look at their posture and configurations so that I can make sure that I not only make them a stunning suit but that it fits them to perfection and enhances their assets.
What is the best way to make the groomsmen stand out from the crowd?
Always go a shade darker and make your suit subtly different from the rest of your party. This is your day and its your time to shine, along with the bride so go all out and do it like Bond I say.
Why is groomswear just as important as bridalwear?
The Groom is more and more involved in the wedding process now and its a special thing to choose your outfit, especially as the photos will be everlasting. Its important to make that first impression. After all, you're first in the room and pssst- remember most people will be looking at your back for a while, so make sure they have a good view of a stunning suit.
What is the most original outfit you have seen a groom wear?
Sand beige three piece with burnt orange braces and patterned bow tie. It looked very individual and worked perfectly for a wedding in the south of France.
