What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding is unique and memorable. It amazes us how each one is very different and very special given the different personalities we work with.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Rustic, stylish, romantic... whatever the client wants!
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our delighted clients who become friends! The fabulous feedback we receive after all of our hard work and boy is it hard work!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take all the advice you can, don't rush your decisions, it's your day. We are on the end of the phone for you, like your own personal wedding planner, but at no additional cost!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A bride who asked each female guest to bring a flower. The flowers were then gathered and arranged at the church door for the bride to carry! Love that don't you?
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Telephone call followed by a face to face meeting. Then we do a full quotation and CAD with lots of phone calls until we get it right! Once the booking is confirmed, we stay in touch throughout until the Big Day. We get to know our clients and when we get closer to the Big Day know exactly what they want. We are also able to advise on suppliers and help choose the right people for them.
How do you create an ambiance in a marquee?
Lighting can really enhance a marquee. And all your personal touches!
Where is the most exciting place that you have put a marquee?
Over swimming pools!
What is your record time for putting up your marquee?
Oh seriously ... we don't rush, its all in the detail! But you will know when we are coming and a rough time for the build and we do love a cup of tea!
What is your favourite design of marquee and why?
I love the Hambleden Marquee with its scalloped edging and cones to the roof. If clear cones even better! It is still a clear span when all is said and done - a clear open space inside with no pole or guy ropes getting in the way! It just makes a rectangle marquee, quirky!
