What about your business are you most proud of?
We are incredibly proud of our customer service and how we follow up with our clients, dedicating ourselves to making your day perfect by keeping regular contact to check floorplans, make suggestions, recommend suppliers and generally to get to know you!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Let your personality shine through!
Follow the principle that whatever you choose for your special day is in line with your character. Think about the whole theme of the wedding and use it as your starting point. Using a board on Pinterest is a great way of collecting ideas - there are lots of examples of images other brides and companies like ours have already put together that will help you.
Consider the following ideas when deciding on what is right for you:
- Favourite colours for your flowers and table runners
- Favourite flowers, maybe even wild ones
- Bunting, pompoms and lace for decorating
- Photos of family, friends and places that are special to you, hung up or in a vintage style suitcase
- Jams, plants, biscuits, welsh cakes or other homemade gifts for favours
- Origami windmills and flowers
- Charity donations instead of favours, buying everyone a pin badge linked to a charity special to you
- Table names linked to you, favourite bands, films or character; places you have visited, anything important to you
- A wishing tree instead of the usual guestbook
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A Christmas wedding, but instead of a guestbook, there was a bare Christmas tree, with a basket of clear baubles and strips of paper. The guests would write a message to the couple, place it inside a bauble with some fairy lights, and hang it on the Christmas tree!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
A couple will either reach out to us or download one of the several free brochures on our website, after which we will contact them to introduce ourselves and have a chat about their requirements, how far along in the planning process they are, and basically learn what their basic idea of a dream wedding is. We will mention the prices of our packages during the call but afterwards, assuming the couple are interested, we will put together quote package specific to them. A few days later we contact the couple again to discuss the quote and any concerns they may have. This is where the booking process will begin. Between the quote and the booking there may be a site visit, or the couple may come down to one of our open weekends to meet us in person and see the tents!
At the point of booking a 50% deposit is taken, and then the real fun begins! We have multiple phone calls in the lead up to the event; we will design a floorplan and adapt it as we go dependent on ideas from the couple and suggestions of our own; we will invite them to our open weekends to get the finer details down in person and introduce the couple to our recommended suppliers. If the couple wants, we will guide them through every step of planning an outdoor wedding; ensuring they have power, facilities, caterers and any other suppliers they need.
How do you create an ambiance in a marquee?
With features such as our Fire Pits, Our Chandeliers, Our Rustic Ladder, Our Chill Out Furniture and more creating an incredible atmosphere and ambience in our tents is effortless - and on top of that we strive to give every couple a full day to decorate their tent before the wedding, so they can decorate it as they wish and turn it into their own dream wedding venue!
What is your favourite design of marquee and why?
We love our Nordic Tipis; because of the incredibly high quality, their background in the roots of the Sami people in Swedish Lapland, and quite simply their beauty!
