Carron Marquees is the luxury marquee hire company in the Surrey and Hampshire areas. Our aim is for your event to be the best possible so we arrange to meet you early on to discuss your requirements in detail. This way we ensure you get the marquee you want at the best possible price. As well as traditional marquees we supply frame marquees that can be erected on any surface. To keep the marquees cool in summer walls can be peeled to one side while in the winter our heating systems and marquee linings will keep you and your guests warm. As well as marquee furniture we also supply lighting and interior decoration. Carron Marquees offers a complete solution with toilets, generator hire, heating and furniture al owned by us.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Difficult to choose as our clients have varying budgets so we have put us some amazing marquees. For me it was one of the lower budget weddings in our traditional marquees with Trestle tables and lots of fairy lights. The family had collected numerous food jars which all held wild flowers - very simple but looking great.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Our staff - they are smart, helpful and flexible!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Brides dressing room - it looked gorgeous!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We can provide an outline quote or meet on site to run through requirements and which marquee would be best suited to the couples needs. A site visit is always done to check access and the suitability of the venue. Many couples like to includ garden features in the marquee and we can take this into account. When the couple are happy with the quote and suggested plans we will take a £200 deposit to secure the marquee. We also allow for last minute options (just in case of bad weather and always have heaters on standby). We will contact the couple closer to their date to check on numbers and if there are any changes as there very often are! We will also talk to the caterer to ensure there is enough power.

How do you create an ambiance in a marquee?

Lighting is one of the most effective ways to create ambiance.

Where is the most exciting place that you have put a marquee?

On the back of a boat!

What is your record time for putting up your marquee?

We work with many venues that have tight deadlines - for example with the RAC in Epsom our marquees have to be up by midday on Saturday and down by midday on Sunday - never missed a deadline yet!

What is your favourite design of marquee and why?

Traditional Canvas marquee - a very pretty marquee for an English country wedding - looks great with fairy and festoon lighting.
