Dianne and Rhoddri's. Dianne an old friend of mine came to me wanting a classic white wedding which is not my usual style but on further discussion and looking at her mood board and her inspo pics we discovered that she wanted a twist on the classical and something with class but also with a touch of whimsy. So with classic white avalanche roses and dreamy creams and flowy greenery we created just that. We repurposed aisle decorations into stunning table decor and gorgeous flowy but classy bouquets for the bridal party. We also created a stunning floral arch and top table arrangements too. its the most memorable because what Dianne asked to begin with was simple and classic but after looking more deeply into her playful fun personality we found the magic of the flowers could tell her unique and personal faerie tale creating her own happy ever after.
Whimsical, unique, alternative, unusual, personal.
I'm most proud of taking on fresh new challenges daily. Until recently I worked as a head florist for a store front florist who has closed and my new challenge is to inspire happy couples to have the same passion for the beauty of flowers as I have and to start out on my own doing what I absolutely love and that is to listen, watch and learn from your direction and hopefully add a sprinkle of faerie dust to your special occasion.
Take time to gather all your ideas together. You may think you have one style or colour or mood in mind but sometimes its the creation of 2 or even 3 different ideas intertwined which make your wedding uniquely yours and totally unforgettable.
crocheted caricatures of the happy couple along with their array of pets which adorned the tables. showed the couples sense of fun.
Initial telephone conversation to learn about their wish list their budgets in mind and their must haves. This meeting will establish whether we will be a good fit or not and we can then discuss a further in person consultation with mood boards and inspo pictures. At this consultation we will establish what you would love to have and what you can afford to include in your budget requirements. We can discuss types of flowers and whether you have some must haves and whether there is room for alternatives. We will discuss seasonal availability of flowers and practicality. I will then go away to create a personal quote which will reflect our conversation. This may take a little time whilst I check several different suppliers for the best overall value. Once I have got back to you with your quote you can then decide whether to go ahead at which point we will enter into a contract and a 50% deposit will be payable to save your wedding date. Then we will have a further consultation at least 2 months prior to your wedding to finalise the details and balance payments. We will also speak 1 week prior to your wedding to put the magic into place. This is your opportunity to decide if you'd like any thankyou bouquets or extra boutonnières or corsages added for wedding guests.
sounds cliché, but I put my love of flowers and creativity into everything I do.
I would recommend that you chose colours/styles rather than specific flowers all flowers to me are symbolic for all sorts of reasons, whether its the memories they evoke, the moods they create, the fragrance which fill the air and whether they have roots in family history or traditions. They can symbolise change, rebirth, growth and overcoming adversity or diversity. Your journey into married life should symbolise all of this which is deeply personal and unique.
all of them.
You can repurpose by placing at loved ones graves or taking apart displays to give to guests by creating a flower bar. You can give them to local hospices/care homes to brighten others days.
