5 of the words that come to mind when trying to describe my work would be:
Flower-full (lots of variety!), natural, memorable, fresh...and I just can't help it, I know I am biased, but "beautiful"!
I am most proud of the reputation we have created and maintained. To be trusted to create the flowers for such an important time in people's lives, and play such a huge part of their big day, is something that always makes me feel so privileged even after doing so many weddings! I am so proud that in the reviews we get, not only are they commenting on how amazing the flowers were, but on how welcome we made them feel and how much fun the process was - and that is my aim!
Make sure to contact your preferred and favourite suppliers early! Even if they are not yet taking bookings for your wedding year, they will advise you as to when the diary will be open for you to then organise appointments and get booked in so that you don't miss out.
The most interesting "non flower" thing I have put in a bouquet so far would be pheasant feathers! They looked so brilliant and really enhanced the woodland theme of the day. Flower wise, I would say that I find ranunculus really "interesting" as they have so many petals and layers! They aren't an unusual flower at all, but I think they are mesmerising.
Enjoy them! Gift them out to guests, take them home with you and take care of them. Graves too, as sad as it may feel, it is a lovely way to remember those who could not be there on your special day.
You can also organise with a specific floral preserving company who will organise for you to send them your bouquet and they will freeze dry it and preserve it forever! That is a brilliant keepsake.
