Always our colleagues are the most memorable, it is so lovely to work on the wedding and be there to enjoy it too. Makes us wish we could gate crash all our brides (don't worry we would never do that)!
Bohemian, Romantic, Rustic, Natural and Seasonal
That we have survived for 20 years and have had most of our staff for almost as long.
Get it done early!!! Try to get as much done way in advance so you can enjoy the build up more. There will always be a last minuet rush and the less you have to do the better.
An empty chair next to the mother of the bride with a photograph of the bride's father on it. Very poignant; if there aren't already enough tears at weddings.
Get couples in for a lovely informal chat about their hopes and expectations of the day and what flowers they would like. We then write up a detailed quotation, then once they have received that they can chat with us again and fine tune or amend anything they would like. We try to keep the same florist answering your emails and phone calls but sometimes you may need to speak to someone else.
Some brides have asked us to incorporate a locket or item of jewellery in memory of a loved one who cannot be there for their special day. This can be placed front and centre of the bouquet for everyone to see or discreetly at the back just for them to see.
Roses, being the flower of love are a very popular option but a lot of brides are now choosing seasonal flowers as the trend for being more sustainable and eco conscious makes these flowers a better choice for our planet.
Roses are the most romantic flower, especially red but they don't always match with the colour scheme. Don't be afraid to choose something different.
Some people opt to preserve their flowers either by drying them or having them pressed. This is something that needs to be planned and arranged before the wedding as time is of the essence as the flowers will only look their very best for a short time.
