Pickleberry Flowers Full Description
PickleBerry was born out of a love for weddings, changing seasons and foraging for green goods around the rolling Leicestershire/Rutland countryside. It was also the fact that Isobel was brought up around flowers as the family had a flower shop! So Isobel started her floral adventure from a little girl, being obsessed with daisy chains, foxglove finger hats and making fairy wands from the inside of periwinkles but became professional trained in 2013 and qualified as a teacher of floristry in 2015. The flowers come from the Pickleberry patch at home, local growers such as ‘Keythorpe Walled Garden’ & local markets. Specific requirements will be ordered in from the Dutch Wholesalers. All foliage comes from the patch, if possible! The patch (depending on season!) grows white, blue & pink nigella, dahlias, alliums, icelandic poppies, lupins, honesty, clematis, hydrangea, cosmos, foxglove, phlox, scabiosa, sweet peas, blackberries, wine berries & eucalyptus. "We love a loose and romantic style meets country cottage garden feel. So expect a herby scent, trailing ivy and seasonal filler flower picks from the patch" says Isobel.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My wedding of course. It was the year of blush weddings and I almost went down that road but decided to be a little different and went bright clashing colours.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, relaxed, romantic, seasonal and foraged.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Just to do what I love.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Always pick suppliers that you feel comfortable with. I think a friendship is very important as you will be in contact with one another a lot.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

When a Grandpa had a go at growing flowers for his granddaughter and I had the pleasure of cutting them, conditioning them and using them in her bouquet. For me this is magical and so meaningful.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once you get in contact we arrange a meeting for a consultation. Usually a coffee somewhere in-between us both. Always happy to meet you at your church or venue. I do have a small studio at home where you can come and see some of the vessels and props I have collected over the years. After a good discussion on what it is you are after, I will send you a quote and you have 28 day to accept or decline.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Nettles, not the stinging variety! Cinderellas Slippers as I have always known it!
