What is your most memorable wedding?
Ooohh, so many wonderful and different weddings! Outdoor weddings I Iove. I've worked at druids temples, woodlands, ti-pi's and even near the sea. That's a hard one, too many to mention.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, vintage, whimsical, organic and sophisticated.
What about your business are you most proud of?
It's just me! It's me who is involved in every aspect of the business. You will liase with me completely throughout your wedding planning. I order, create and deliver your wedding blooms. I began my business from scratch and have worked many years to achieve what I have today.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Think about your budget carefully, your wedding is once in a lifetime occasion. Have what you really desire and for those few extra pennies it really will be worth it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I will make that spare buttonhole for someone who is no longer with us in this life. I understand from experience the sadness it can bring on such a special day when a loved one isn't there. I have attached lockets, charms, rings and personal trinkets to the brides bouquet. I personally feel it's a very touching and beautiful thing to do.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
From your initial enquiry we will arrange to have a relaxed chat about your lovely flowers. This can be done via zoom initially or telephone. Local couples do have the option to visit my studio also. This gives you the opportunity to tell me all about your big day. From there I will work out a detailed quote and send this to you within 7 working days.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
A handkerchief belonging to the brides grandma and a ring containing a loved ones ashes.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
Everyone has there favourites and personal preference and I like different!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Thankfully today there are many different ways you can preserve your beautiful flowers. I have a few recommended businesses if you need any help with this aspect. Please don't hesitate to ask.
