I didn’t mean to become a florist, it just happened. My mother is a florist so I guess I absorbed my love of all things floral through her. I spent much of my childhood in her flower shop in the Northamptonshire where I am from.
I studied sculpture at Plymouth Art College, then after that, through a chance meeting ended up working for a florist in London. I branched out on my own to originally set up business in Cornwall. You can often find me in the Southwest, but mainly in London. However I travel wherever the work takes me.
My job is to create and I see creativity as such a positive force. I love people and being a florist connects me with people. That’s the best thing about my job – people. Every job I undertake deals with bringing to life floral dreams using feelings and emotions, be it weddings, funerals, corporate or film and television, I just love it.
